The Clearwater Horseshoe Club has 18 covered, lighted, blue clay courts
located in Ed Wright Park at the corner of M.L. King Jr. Ave. and
Lakeview Road, nestled between a freshwater lake and a heavily
wooded picnic area ..... An ideal location for a family picnic or
bass fishing while enjoying these outstanding facilities for horseshoe
pitching. Clearwater's famous beach is just minutes from the courts.
The Florida State Horseshoe Pitchers Association "Hall of Fame" in the
Clearwater Club House features displays of memorabilia honoring former
World Champion Carl Steinfeldt and other members of the Hall of Fame.
League play handicapped at 90% is conducted on Tuesdays, Wednesdays,
and Thursdays during the Fall and Winter months.
Wednesday League starts 1st week in October at 6:30 p.m. and lasts for 10 weeks,
then starts again the 1st week in January for 10 weeks.
Tuesday League starts 1st week in November at 12:30 p.m. and lasts for 15 weeks.
Thursday League starts 1st week in November at 12:30 p.m. and lasts for 15 weeks.
We also conduct NHPA sanctioned tournaments, usually on Saturdays,
about one per month, beginning in October and ending in May.
When leagues or tournaments are not being conducted the courts are
available for open practice. Come join us for some healthy exercise
and fun pitching horseshoes, no matter what the skill level.
